A beginner’s guide to ‘blended orgasms’

Seems like our sex vocabulary is expanding every day, and this week the new entry is the phrase ‘blended orgasm’. Sounds nice, but what is it and why is it what all sexperts are recommending as the fail-safe way to make someone come!

What is a blended orgasm?
A blended orgasm is an orgasm that is generated by multiple types of stimulation occurring at the same time in order to reach that level of feeling that brings about orgasm. This is of course particularly relevant to female orgasms given that they essentially a combination of penetration and clitoral stimulation are what actually contribute to the female orgasm.

How is it done?
The term blended orgasm normally refers to female orgasms and specifically to orgasms that result from the combined stimulation of the clitoris and G-spot at the same time – or even the back of the clitoris as it’s sometimes referred to.

The G-spot is inside the vagina, whilst the clitoris is on the outside. Stimulating the two at the same time connects what is known as the ‘clitoral network’ by sex experts and is known to yield incredibly strong orgasms.

In fact some believe that engaging with this area of the vagina is more conducive to very strong stimulation than deep penetration, in part because so many women experience most of their orgasms from some form of clitoral stimulation.

In fact a statistic published by the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy indicated that more than 36% of women came from clitoral stimulation and that only 18% did from penetration alone!

A blended orgasm is basically simply the best of both worlds!

How to deliver a blended orgasm like a pro?
A blended orgasm involves penetration and clitoral stimulation at the same time or some form of combined stimulation with the assitance of a sex toy too. Some recommend using a clitoral massager or a bullet during penetration, which also allow the woman greater control.

Positions recommended for blended orgasms involve positions that engage the clitoral network meaning they involve more body to body contact with the clitoris, such as perhaps missionary. Otherwise sexperts advise positions where it is easy for the man to both penetrate and stimulate – think doggy style or spooning or even in some cases her on top – positions that allow for the man to reach the clitoris with ease.

What else to know?
Blended orgasms are very much about discovering not only what brings pleasure to your female partner but also about understanding their body in many ways. For that reason it’s unlikely that it’s something that can be easily achieved on a one night stand but is more likely to come with practice. And whoever said no to having sex over and over again to get somethign perfect ehi?
